Hawthorne and Ivory is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected and to prevent unauthorised access a number of physical and electronic measures have been put into place. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Like most websites, Hawthorne and Ivory uses cookies to collect visitor information. A cookie is a small file containing a unique identifier that we transfer to your computer through your web browser. Cookies let users navigate around sites and (where appropriate) let us tailor the content to fit the needs of our site's visitors. Without cookies enabled we can't guarantee that the website and your experience of it are as we intended it to be. None of the cookies we use collect your personal information and they can’t be used to identify you.

THE DATA WE COLLECT
We may collect the following information:
- Name, email address, shipping address, billing address, contact phone number.
- Other information relevant to the completion of your order- e.g. wedding date, time, location, written information for details cards and other specific information relating to your wedding.

WHAT THIS INFORMATION IS USED FOR
We use the personal information submitted to us to fulfil your requests for products and services as well as record keeping.
We use anonymous information, such as web pages viewed, to analyse trends, provide a better website experience and to gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.
Any information you contribute to public areas of our website or social media pages, including information about yourself, product reviews, and any other suggestions or comments, is publicity available, can be collected and used by others, and may appear on third-party sites.
Your stationery and also photographic images of your stationery may be used for marketing purposes (i.e. samples, social media and blog posts), if this is the case any personal/identifiable details will be anonymised.

HOW LONG WILL THIS DATA BE KEPT
Hawthorne and Ivory will not retain your personal information longer than necessary. We will hold onto the information you provide as needed to be able to provide the services to you, or for as long as is necessary to provide support-related reporting and trend analysis only. Your design files will be kept active until your wedding date has passed and then securely archived for a period of 2 years after this. An anonymised version of bespoke design files will be retained indefinitely for portfolio records.

If legally required or if it is reasonably necessary to meet regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our Terms and Conditions, we may also retain some of your information for a limited period of time as required, even if it is no longer needed to provide the services to you (i.e. for tax purposes invoice records will be retained for a period of 7 years).

INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE
Hawthorne and Ivory will not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or nonaffiliated companies except to provide products or services that you have requested, or unless we have otherwise obtained your permission. We may share personal information as needed with trusted contractors, vendors and partners who work with or on behalf of Hawthorne and Ivory under confidentiality agreements. These third parties do not have any independent right to share this information and are also compliant under data protective legislations.

CONTROLLING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways:
- If you have previously opted in to us using your personal information for direct marketing purposes, you may change your mind at any time by following the ‘opt out’ instruction within any such email.
- You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under GDPR.
- You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing becky@hawthorneandivory.co.uk. Certain data must be held due to regulatory requirements.

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please email us as soon as possible. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.

The Privacy Policy may change from time to time. When we post changes, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the bottom of this page. Minor changes may be made without any notice to you. For significant changes we will provide a prominent notice on our website.
